UAP Hosts IRO Bangladesh Open 2026, Bringing Together Over 500 Young Robotics Enthusiasts from Schools and Colleges All Over Bangladesh

The IRO Bangladesh Open 2026, the national round of the International Robot Olympiad, was hosted by the University of Asia Pacific (UAP) on September 11–12, 2026. Organized by the Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN), the two-day competition brought together more than 500 students from across Bangladesh. The UAP CSE Robotics Club, under the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), served as the Event Partner and played an active role in coordinating and supporting the event.

The competition featured Creative Computing, Physical Computing, Mission Challenge, and Robotics Quiz, providing participants with opportunities to demonstrate their technical and problem-solving skills. The event also served as a pathway toward representing Bangladesh at the 28th International Robot Olympiad in Vienna, Austria, in January 2027.

ICT Division Secretary Md. Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan attended the closing and prize-giving ceremony as Chief Guest, alongside UAP Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan and other distinguished guests.

The CSE Department, actively supported the event, with faculty members contributing as judges and evaluators. The successful organization of the competition highlights UAP CSE’s commitment to advancing robotics, artificial intelligence, computing, innovation, and hands-on technological education.

The UAP CSE Robotics Club congratulates all participants, winners, organizers, judges, mentors, volunteers, and partners for making IRO Bangladesh Open 2026 a success.
