Dr. Shantanu Chakraborty

Dr. Shantanu is an internationally recognized expert in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Energy Technologies with a decade long career spanning across multiple industries, academic institutions, and continents. His research and development outcomes and innovations are documented in over 70 publications (including 21 peer-reviewed International Journal Papers) and 12 influential Patents in the smart energy and industrial domains by developing cross-disciplinary technologies such as resource scheduling, power system planning, machine learning, AI, and Data Science. During his career, Shantanu has taken key full-time roles as a researcher and data scientist in several Fortune 500 companies – such as Siemens, NEC, and Schneider Electric Software. In the academic sector, Shantanu has taken multiple Research Fellow roles in top-ranked universities and institutes, including the University of Melbourne, University of Tokyo, and CWI Amsterdam.
