Shahriar Raj is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Asia Pacific (UAP), Bangladesh, where he has been serving since January 2026. Prior to this appointment, he served as a faculty member at the International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT).

He graduated from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), one of the leading engineering institutions in the region, with a degree in Computer Science and Engineering. His academic and research interests lie in machine learning, computer vision, and human computer interaction, with an emphasis on developing practical, data-driven solutions to real-world challenges.

His recent work includes research on road damage detection using deep learning and human-centered design approaches, as well as projects involving geospatial data analysis from UAV and LiDAR sources. In addition to his research, he is actively engaged in teaching, mentoring, and curriculum development.
